FAIRY DUST AND MOTHER NATURE - THE MONTH OF MAY BIRTHDAY'S AND MOTHER'S DAY

This month we celebrated five birthdays in our family as well as Mother's Day!  We all got together here at my house and had one big celebration!  I decided to use the theme of woodland fairies and trolls.  Here are some ideas if you want to use this theme yourself!  There are lots more of ideas on Pinterest!

Once in awhile Right in the middle of
an ordinary Life love gives us
a Fairy tale

Flower Fairies sprinkle pixie dust amongst the flowers, fern
and mushrooms for a little magical effect
acorn cups collect morning dew for drinking
A fairy dress hangs waiting for the next anticipated
Fairy Ball.

Fairies love berries, acorns, nuts and fruit, among other things

Most Fairies prefer to be naked
Do Not disturb
Tiny grass  is dreaming
I hung up artificial vines, real vines with
berries from my yard and Spanish moss from
trees
Never ever step inside a fairy ring

A little information on Fairies
Fairy among the flowers - they often dress in petals of
flowers that are near. They not only like them for their
beauty but also it helps to keep them well hidden from
humans who may pass nearby
Fairy Dust: Sprinkle lightly - do not take orally.  May cause dizziness,
euphoria, vomiting.

trolls and birds
trolls are ugly and mean - be careful if you spot one

Cake I made with berries, mushrooms and flowers
Two cake mixes (yellow and chocolate) Separate the four
layers using icing or whip cream (I also put a layer of
banana slices between some of them).  Add icing to
top of cake but not to edges.  Just pile with fruit,
mushrooms, butterflies, leaves, flowers, dragonflies,
whatever you want that represents the forest.
Stick some in between the layers as well.
A very simple, yet beautiful cake to make!

Make signs to add to the candies and snacks
spinach wraps - some are turkey and Swiss with chopped
spinach leaves, and strips of red pepper.  The other is a layer
of cream cheese with added sauted in butter, green apples or
pears, chopped dried cranberries, pecans, and spinach leaves.
Just roll them up, refrigerate several hours and then slice.
And don't you forget that!
