My brother celebrated his 50th Birthday and since we did an Alice In Wonderland Themed party for my other brother ,who is an artist, we decided we should do a themed one for this brother as well! We decided on Wizard Of Oz, it being a classic, lots of great characters and quotes, a good message to the story, some quirky characters, lots of color and something we all grew up watching. We made costumes for the main characters and put on a skit for our guests, served a down on the farm home- cooked meal and a rainbow of desserts. Had some games planned but didn't end up doing them at the last minute. Some ideas though are: Try to throw the ring on the witches hat, pin the heart on the tin man, a brain teaser game, a game of courage, water balloon toss with rainbow colored balloons titled "I'm melting" or you can throw them at the witch and try to hit her - ha ha, and fortunes presented by the Professor Marvel from his crystal ball.
