HALLOWEEN 2012

FALL IS IN THE AIR, EVEN HERE IN FLORIDA!  CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST UPON US AGAIN!

WE RECENTLY CELEBRATED HALLOWEEN AGAIN AND BECAUSE IT IS ONE OF MY SON'S FAVORITE HOLIDAYS WE HAD ANOTHER HALLOWEEN PARTY.  JUST A SMALL GATHERING WITH FAMILY, BUT SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE THE TIME OF YEAR.  I AM SHARING SOME
OF THE PICTURES ON HERE AS WELL AS SOME FROM PAST HALLOWEENS. HOPE YOU ENJOY!

Shadow box I made.  On left is my mom in witches hat when she was
in grade school and a classmate of hers next to her.  On the right side
is from left to right - my sister, my cousin, my brother and myself, when
we were little.  I added our faces to old vintage costumes I found and I
added the witch hat and mask to my mom and her classmate's
original pictures.

Ghost children playing in the graveyard cake topper
that I made with a poem I wrote called "Come Play
With Me".

Hats I decorated for the party

Masks I decorated for the party

Halloween craft I made

Cool mask I found at Target!

Found quotes that were funny or creepy or
interesting facts related to Halloween or
weird things. Everyone took turns reading them.

Another Halloween craft I made for my display cabinet

The Raven - Nevermore

These were eggs my brother painted for me years ago.
I just threw in the mummy heads for Halloween!  Just
take a styrofoam ball, add some yarn and plastic eyes!

A cute idea I found online. Take a wood skeleton,
glue onto a painted stick, add a paper sign and
stick it into a spool of thread that you have painted
or glittered the top of.

Blood red syrupy candy with fangs!

Shadow Box craft I made to hang up.

"Please park all broomsticks here - all others
will be toad"

The sign says it all!

"Many have eaten here, few have died"

These were for caramel candy apples that we never
got around to making!

BACK OF COSTUME MY BROTHER MADE

I used an eyeglass case I had as a coffin.  The skulls are
cute salt and pepper shakers I found at Marshall's.

Black paper crows add a festive touch to the windows

Shadow box I made. Again, I took vintage photo faces
of relatives and super imposed them onto vintage
pictures I found. Took some old tree branches
and used as logs.
